Today, I went on a long walk including a route around the Emperor’s Palace with my friend. We walked a total of 50,467 steps, covered 37.31 km.
First, we met at Ochanomizu and took a train to Koenji to visit a private gallery where his sister was displaying her work. After that, we took a train back to Yoyogi and walked to Kagurazaka for lunch.
From there, we walked Hanzomon, then heading toward Sakuradamon, stopping by Tokyo station along the way. We walk around the Emperor’s Palace and then returned to Tokyo station. After that, we continued walking to Asakusa, stepping outside the Yamanote line loop. We had ramen in Asakusa. it was my second time eating that delicious ramen. So happy.
From Asakusa, we walked to Kitasenju. We met together at 10:15 and parted ways at 21:45, meaning that aside from eating and visiting the gallary, we spent about 10 hours just walking. And we kept talking the whole time. Actually, it didn’t feel long at all. I need a day like this, walking and talking all day, at least four times a year. If I could have my way, I’d love to do it once a month.
